A young man, dedicated and betrothed to a beautiful woman, is perpetually haunted, terrorized and tortured after her mysterious and inexplicable death, and the succeeding abrupt and perplexing passing of every member in her family, within days of each other.

Prior to her inscrutable demise, the once unceasing warmth and affectionate behaviour she shared and expressed with her fiancé suddenly began diminishing and becoming more resistant and colder day by day, and for no apparent or understandable reason.

   Clouded, confused and condemned within his tormented mind, the loss of his beloved Alexandra’s waning behaviour, and the eerie repercussions surrounding her death begins to drive him to the near brink of madness, after which he begins to be visited nightly by imposing apparitions of her entire family, spectres that appear during the vicious and chilling storms, and begin tapping on his window during the raven hours of the night.

   Each time he reluctantly approaches the window, desiring and fantasizing her return, endeavouring to sort reality from the bizarre, he beholds the phantasmal image of his lost beloved Alexandra; she is spattered with mud and reddish-coloured clay, as are the other members of the family, as if they were unearthed from a fresh grave; then only but a moment later, he beholds their eerie evanescence until they are no more visible.

   Night after night, during the brutal and perpetual, cruel, and relentless storms, they appear, persistently tapping at his window pane, then enigmatically fading into the torrential angry black tempests.

   Finally, after discovering the symptoms through an exhaustive investigation and an archive of forensic reports, he sets out on a mission of revenge and a dedicated vendetta of reprisal to seek out and eradicate forever the source of the evil, and the responsible demented, hideous being that ruthlessly had cast a most wicked and ugly shadow upon an innocent and undeserving family.

   Set at the turn of the century Scotland, he treks into the most abandoned territories, searching for the final and justified vengeance and vindication.
